A declaration of love

How does living and working for Deutsche Werkstätten go together? Silke Schuster, Assistant to the Management who has been with the company since 1982, shares her personal view: “I simply love working here! Over the years I have fallen in love with this company. It feels like home. I have all the space I need to develop professionally."

Silke Schuster continues to report: "For example, the distribution of tasks and responsibilities is not set in stone as would usually be the case. Instead, we are encouraged to take initiatives and ‘think outside the box’ when necessary. Although I am an employee in Hellerau, I don’t feel as if I am stuck in a treadmill. Quite the opposite, I enjoy being treated like a human being with the freedom to develop at work.”
