Stefan Kükenhöhner takes over the management of the DW Group

With Groupe Ateliers de France coming on board as a new shareholder, a new chapter began for Deutsche Werkstätten last year. It was a moment of transition, but also a deliberate signal of continued development. For more than three decades, Fritz Straub had shaped this Saxon company with its rich heritage through his leadership style, his convictions and his vision. At the turn of the year, he also stepped down as Managing Director of Deutsche Werkstätten Beteiligung GmbH. Since then, an intensive search has been under way for the right person to take on this important role in leading the Deutsche Werkstätten Group.

In Stefan Kükenhöhner, we have now found that person. Since 1 April 2026, he has been Managing Director of Deutsche Werkstätten Beteiligung, strengthening our management team in a key position. He brings many years of management experience, particularly in the fields of controlling, sales and marketing. In his new role, he will take on the strategic leadership of Deutsche Werkstätten, with the aim of ensuring that the group remains competitive and fit for the future in a sustainable way. We wish him every success and much enjoyment in this new role.
